About FiguredMoney
Free money calculators, made by one person
FiguredMoney was created by David Pagola, who lives and works in North Carolina, to offer free money calculators that answer everyday questions quickly and clearly — no sign-up, no paywall, and no spreadsheet required.
The idea is simple: most money decisions start with a piece of arithmetic that is easy to get wrong by hand. What does a 4% raise actually add to each paycheck? How much interest does an extra $100 a month really save on a loan? Is renting or buying cheaper over the five years you actually plan to stay? FiguredMoney does that math instantly, shows the assumptions behind it, and explains the formula so you can judge the answer for yourself.
What's here
The Site offers sixteen calculators covering:
- Saving and investing — compound interest, 401(k) with employer match, Roth vs. Traditional IRA, savings goals, and emergency funds
- Pay — pay raises, salary-to-hourly conversion, and overtime
- Housing — mortgage payments, home affordability, refinancing, and rent vs. buy
- Debt — loan payoff, car loans, multi-debt payoff plans, and the true cost of credit card minimum payments
How the site works
Every calculator runs locally in your browser. Nothing you type is saved, stored, or sent anywhere — see the Privacy Policy for the details. The Site is supported by advertising so the tools can stay free. Results are estimates for educational purposes only and are not financial advice; please read the Disclaimer.
